General Surgery


This unit has a bed capacity of 100 and takes care of post-operative surgical patients.  It is headed by a senior nurse who works in closed collaboration with the doctors, specialist, the physiotherapist and the staff of the operating theatre. Patients with post-operative non-obstetric wounds are hospitalised and managed in the surgical ward 1.


The hospital has a 30 bed capacity surgical ward 2. This is the unit were patients with infected wounds are managed. Some example of patients admitted here includes people with abscesses, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, open uncleaned fractures, dental abscess and other types of infected wounds. The unit is made up of experienced trained nurses and works in collaboration with the doctors, specialist, and the operating theatre staff.
